Job Description:
I. : Responsible for Payroll and Human Resource administration
including overseeing and processing all aspects of payroll and HR
administration including gross to net payroll; processing,
inputting, and safeguarding employee data; providing orientation
for new employees, current and post-termination employee
administration. Manages benefits administration and interfaces with
employees, management, and vendors. Responsible for updating and
reporting of the HR portal system, the ADP computer system, and
hard copy employee files. Works under tight deadlines and heavy
volume of work, within a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
Focused on attention to detail and business rules, and providing
outstanding service.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Includes the following, other related
functions may be assigned.
A. Responsible for completing the following Human Resource and
Payroll Administration Functions :
? Administration of employee benefits
? Process and administer employee benefits deductions (including
401(k) and group insurances)
? Research and respond to unemployment claims notifications
? Complete new hire packet audits in compliance with Company policy
and applicable laws
? Process all payrolls; semi-monthly, bi-weekly, monthly
? Remit all tax payments timely, and complete payroll tax filings
in accordance with local, state, and federal laws
? Banking functions including file creation and transmission,
verification of issued checks and ADP posting
? Garnishment administration, related requirements notifications
and processing
? Interface with GBS Benefits and HR Connect for employee
notifications and enrollments
? Administer employee files
? Human resource report creation and generation
? ADP Payroll system administration
? New employee orientation
B. Maintains processes established in Accounting, HR and
Payroll.
C. Special projects
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Key Working Relationships: Reports to the Controller. Works with
Department managers, providing necessary assistance and support.
Interacts with all employees.
III. Education/Experience & Other Minimum Qualifications
Required:
The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the
knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for an individual to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable amounts of
training are provided.
? Bachelor?s degree in human resources, accounting or other
applicable program preferred
? Minimum four years of experience in payroll and/or human
resources for a midsize company
? Prior experience in maintaining company payroll, HR and
accounting practices and procedures
? Self-starter, able to work with specific instructions and task
lists, ensuring all duties are done in accordance with business
rules and deadlines
? Strong computer skills, including an intermediate level skill in
Excel; ADP experience preferred
? High level of accuracy with ability to prioritize work and manage
heavy volume with deadlines.
? Team focused, ensuring that all tasks within department are
completed; takes initiative to promote success of the entire
team
? Highly professional in all communications with managers,
co-workers and all employees; outstanding written and verbal
communication.
